KÜRT – Data Recovery and Information Security

In April 2010 KÜRT Zrt. won support, in the framework of the GOP-1.3.1-09/B grant structure, for its “Implementation of services supporting business-purpose software development and secure operation on a cloud-technology infrastructure” project.

The aim of the project is to develop a computational cloud through which KÜRT can provide enhanced and still-to-be-developed business services in a new, modern, highly scalable and, as has long been associated with the KÜRT name, secure, environment. To this end, KÜRT is implementing a radical infrastructure development that ensures the problem-free servicing of the computational cloud and of the delivery of services associated with the applications running in it. At the same time, a process is being launched that, by integrating software components that are already available on the market as well as others that will soon be developed, will create a unified service environment that can be configured by the customers in accordance with their own needs.

The aim of our project is for KÜRT to launch services for which there is a clear need based on its customers’ feedback, and for which there is not yet an integrated solution at the level that is currently being developed.

In the course of the project, KÜRT is developing what will appear to the customer as four main services:
We are implementing a Management system that supports the operation of the various services, the task of which is to perform the configuration, management and monitoring of components operating in the virtual environment and that effectively serve all customers. The system includes a customer relationship system that amongst other things, allows the quality of service to be measured.
By easily and quickly modifying the parameters of the virtual environment of the System Development Lab that has been created for them, the system developers will be able to test the software tools that they develop in a variety of special setting conditions.
Using the Application Vulnerability Lab that is due to be set up, KÜRT’s experts will conduct a vulnerability test on the applications selected for testing by the customer and migrated to the lab. The customer does not therefore need to have its live system submitted to a vulnerability test.
The customer can migrate its own configurations to the Operational Test Lab, where the effects of the change in the IT environment can be tested without endangering the customer’s own, live systems.
The project has been made possible with the support of the European Union and the co-financing of the European Regional Development Fund.
